Welcome Back!
Hey guys!
How were your holidays? Now that uni has started all over again, it's time to get back into the swing of things. This semester we're changing up the timetable a bit. We're going to have two workshops per week, one on Tuesday lunch for felt crafts and one on Friday lunch for yarn crafts.
Tomorrow, we'll be teaching you how to make cute little ginger bread men and decorate them your way. You can look up for the patterns is plushie patterns page if you want to make them at home.
Workshop 1: Felt
Date: Tuesday July 24th
Time: 12-2pm
Project: Gingerbread men
Venue: Mary Cooke A, Union House level 2
On Friday, we'll have a welcome back tea party! There'll be macarons, cakes, and biscuits! Also tea. Please drop in for a bikkie, even if you can't stay for the whole workshop.
We'll also make a start on our Dr Who scarf group project. This scarf, when finished, will be raffled off for charity. It's a very simple garter stitch pattern, just knitting all the way. We'll teach you how to change yarn colours and do provisional cast on so we can graft everyone's pieces together. Tom Baker's scarf is huge so we really need lots of volunteers! If you want to help out but can't make it on Friday, just send us an email so we can arrange something.
Workshop 2: Yarn
Date: Friday July 27th
Time: 12-2pm
Project: Dr Who Scarf
Venue: Joe Napolitano A, Union House level 2
Hope to see you there!
